Caitlin Moneyhun, APRN, is a certified nurse-midwife. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Carson Newman College, and a master's degree in nursing with a specialty in nurse-midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. Caitlin has 14 years of experience in women's health, serving as a Labor & Delivery nurse for eight years and CNM for six years.

Caitlin was raised in a small town outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, where she began her nursing career. She fell in love with the art of midwifery while practicing in Alaska. After completing midwifery school, Caitlin moved to Asia to assist with cervical cancer reduction rates. She returned home to mentor nursing students for a short period before joining the world of birth center and hospital practice. Caitlin strongly believes in supporting women in each phase of her life, facilitating informed choices, and compassionate and evidenced-based care. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and motorcycle rides with her husband and son. Their Australian Shepherd, Milo, will usually be right beside them.

As a certified nurse- midwife, she is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) with a special population focus on women and newborns. CNMs are experts in physiologic pregnancy and birth. They care for women and adolescents throughout the lifespan including well-woman, contraceptive services, GYN, prenatal care, labor, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. While midwives primarily care for healthy women and their newborns, they may also care for women and their babies in consultation and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team as warranted should complications arise.

Caitlin welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
